Crispy tortilla stuffed with potato coated in a homemade sauce with cheese and sour cream.

NACHO FIESTA - 23

Fried tortillas with black beans, pico de gallo, cheese, guacamole and sour cream, topped with our succulent salsa and a choice of meat.

CEVICHE - 28

Mix of white fish, shrimp and salmon cooked with lemon, mango, avocado and pico de gallo.

CAMARON AL MOJO DE AJO - 28

Butterfly shrimp, sautéed with garlic and butter, seasoned with pepper and salt.

Delicious homemade black bean soup, served with nachos, sour cream and cheese.

QUESABIRRIA - 20

Adobo-marinated beef served in a corn tortilla with cheese and consommé. Garnished with cilantro and onions. Serves 4.

The Story Behind the Skull

They tried to bury us... but they didn’t know we were seeds.

Resto Calaveras was born from the heart of a Mexican chef with a mission: to share the warmth, flavors, and colors of his traditions with the people of Montreal. Through home-cooked dishes, music, and hand-painted walls, we created a space where every visit felt like a celebration.

When we had to close our doors, it wasn’t the end, it was a pause. A quiet season. But Calaveras was never truly gone. The stories, the flavors, and the love behind it remained alive in the hearts of our community.

Now, we’re back. Same soul, new chapter!

With the same passion, the same food made with corazón, and a space full of joy, we welcome you to celebrate once again with us.

Born in Manzanillo and raised by generations of women who cooked with love, Chef Elemy brings the warmth of Mexican family traditions to Montreal. Her cuisine is colorful, soulful, and rooted in recipes passed down through time, a true celebration of heritage on every plate.
